Veterinary Medical Center Europe

As our mission allows, we are happy to provide appointments for your pets! We offer appointments for health certificates, wellness, sick call, physical therapy, and procedures.

1. Registrations:

All pets in the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) must be registered at our clinic. Registration consists of maintaining a current medical record and a valid rabies certificate (for cats and dogs). If vaccines are given to your pet off-base, please bring proof of vaccination so we can update our records. PLEASE ALLOW FOR 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER SUBMITTING REGISTRATION PACKET TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT.

2. Scheduled Appointments:

It is recommended to arrive 15 minutes early to your scheduled appointment. All pets must be leashed or in a carrier at time of appointment. While we do not restrict children from attending scheduled appointments we highly discourage this, as other pets in facility could possibly pose a danger. If you need to cancel or move the scheduled appointment please do so at least 24 hours before appointment so we can fill the open spot. Late or missed appointments may result in a suspension of services for the pet owner.

3. Prescription Refills:

To request a prescription refill please call our clinic number listed. Once filled the prescription is available for 7 calendar days during clinic hours until it returns to inventory. All prescriptions need to be picked up prior to the second to last working day of the month as we are closed the last day for inventory. Please make the request in advance prior to running out of the medication as it can take 2-3 business days to fill the request.

Please see our monthly schedule below for our community clinic days.

Our reception team is available Monday through Fridays for in/out processing, scheduling, medication refills, and information.

We do not provide emergency services. Veterinary services are by appointment only.
*NOTICE* We are currently understaffed and ask for patience as we try to fulfill all requests and provide services. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Updates:

  1. It has come to our attention that the manufacturer of microchips we have been implanting has suddenly gone out of business. This has resulted in their registry being disconnected from the AAHA Microchip Registry Lookup Tool database. Owners will need to re-register their pet’s microchips with an active registry, so that their information is again added to the AAHA database. The AAHA tool website (https://www.aaha.org/for-veterinary-professionals/microchip-search/) provides a list of participating registries, with several of them being free. Please complete the necessary steps to maintain your pet’s information in the AAHA database. The microchip registry company for Germany specifically is www.tasso.net. There is no fee for registering your pet with Tasso and they will send you a free tag to put on your pet’s collar. We recommend having your pet registered in the American database as well as the local database to Germany. Always remember to update your contact information when you PCS. A microchip contains just a number; the registration containing your contact information is what is needed to reunite you with a lost pet. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
  2. We have been stocking and administering Bordetella Parainfluenza Intranasal vaccine, but many records are showing either Bordetella Intranasal or Bordetella Parainfluenza Adenovirus Intranasal. If you have any problems with grooming or boarding facilities accepting the Bordetella vaccine that your dog received from us, please let us know so that we may provide you a corrected vaccination history for your pet.
